Beneath the sediments of conscious thought
And beyond the waves of dreamless sleep
There, intangible and indistinguishable from my spirit lies the dark antagonist
Its age is three thousand years
Its purpose is estrangement and anarchy
From the walled garden to banish me
Doomed to wander like cain
It fights the magnetism of my moral compass
Its winds are against the sails of home
It desires its own guide
